The business is a scanner that people step into to create a print-out of their physical dimensions. This data is then used to querie databases of popular clothing brands to find which size will fit the individual based on the actual cut of the clothing rather than by the number used to label it as a specific size.

This technology addresses the inconsistencies in clothing sizes and the frustrations shoppers face when trying to find designer clothes that will fit them.

Reading this article gave me sort of an out of body experience..

I had written up this same idea in my Executive Summary for a New Venture Formation course in the graduate school of business at USF, last semester. Its a good thing the idea was not near and dear to my heart and I had come up with it the night before it was due (no offense Dr. Lux). To be honest it was on my mental back burner but otherwise I think its actually a really cool thing that I’m seeing my ideas being developed in the marketplace … it means I’m on the right track (Thanks Dr. Lux).

Take Away: If you have an idea and more than two “qualified” people tell you its good… get with it, and do something about it - EXECUTE! Everyday I hear people referring to businesses or concepts and saying,

“Oh, I thought of that two years ago.”

No Thanks….. I’m close to officially convinced that there is no such thing as an original idea. What now comes into fruition is a combination of current ideas and philosophies that are mutually beneficial to each other by people who’ve got the wherewithal to EXECUTE.
